NEAR (NEAR) address validator
Address checking only. Paste a NEAR address to check its checksum and format and see which address type it is. Below: how NEAR addresses are built, an example, and the chains it can be confused with.
What this page does: Address checking only: SwapChan validates the format and tells you which address type it is. It does not hold funds, sign transactions or recover wallets for this chain.
NEAR address format
- 64 lowercase hex characters (implicit account)
- An implicit NEAR account is the 32-byte ed25519 public key itself, written as 64 lowercase hex characters with no 0x. Named accounts such as alice.near also exist; this checker covers implicit accounts only.

Good to know
NEAR amounts use 24 decimal places: 1 NEAR = 10^24 base units.
Its SLIP-44 coin type is 397, so BIP-44 style wallets derive it under m/44'/397'/โฆ.
This page checks address formats only. It never asks for a private key or seed phrase. Want to know if an address still holds funds? Try find money (coverage is listed there). Lost the wallet app? See the recovery guides.
FAQ
- How do I check a NEAR address is valid?
- Paste it into the checker on this page. It verifies the checksum and the encoding for NEAR and says which address type it is, or why it fails.
- What does a NEAR address look like?
- 64 lowercase hex characters (implicit account). Try it with the public example ee93a4f66f8d16b819bb9beb9ffccdfcdc1412e87fee6a324c2a99a1e0e67148.
